Users no longer login as guest when connecting via Apple File Sharing to the Mac Installers server (macs.acs.appstate.edu). Users must use their email/novell username to gain access to the Mac Installers server. Upon first login, users will need to reset their password. Follow the instructions to connect and reset your password for the first time:

1. In the Finder, select Go > Connect to Server... from the menu bar. Type macs.acs.appstate.edu in the Server Address field, and click Connect
   
2. When prompted to connect to the file server, make sure Registered User is selected and enter your username in the Name field. Do not enter anything in the Password field yet... Click the Options widget in the lower left corner and select Change Password...
   
3. Set your new password to something you can remember: either your current ASU password or another secure password. Your "Old password"for this procedure is abc12345. Click OK once you've entered your old and new password.
   
   
4. At the Connect to server dialog enter your password, and click Connect - if your password was set correctly you should be presented with a list of available volumes containing Macintosh software installers.
   
5. Select Mac Installers to access available campus Macintosh software. Future connections to the Mac Installer server will not require a reset of your password. If you have trouble resetting your password or accessing the Mac Installer server, contact Technical Support at 262-6266.
